As the school year draws to a close, we gathered on Thursday to celebrate a wonderful milestone – the graduation of our 6th class students. This moment marks the end of their primary school journey, and what an incredible journey it has been! The Graduation ceremony wasn’t just about saying goodbye to primary school – it’s was about celebrating how far they have all come throughout their years in Greaghrahan NS. To Alex, Cian, Emma, Lucie, Skye and Sophie congratulations on a successful journey through primary school. We are so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the people you’ve become. All the staff and pupils wish each of you every success and happiness as you step confidently into this exciting new chapter. Your future is full of promise – go out and embrace it!

Our students in Junior Infants to 2nd had an unforgettable day out this week as they visited GR8 Entertainment Centre in Monaghan.   From the moment we arrived, the excitement was through the roof. The venue had something for everyone, and the children wasted no time diving into all the fun activities on offer. The children went bowling, created amazing buildings with the Lego, took part in video games with their friends and enjoyed the soft play area. It was a fantastic day filled with teamwork, laughter, and memories that will last a long time. A big thank you to the staff at GR8 for being so welcoming and making our trip so special. 

We are absolutely delighted to welcome our newest and youngest learners to our school community! Today marks a very special occasion as we host our Junior Infants Induction Afternoon, a first step on what we hope will be a joyful and enriching journey for each child. The children had a lovely afternoon and we look forward to welcoming them to Greaghrahan NS in September. 

A massive thank you to Aisling our amazing tutor and Music Generation Cavan/ Monaghan who came and performed on our school yard as part of the 'Music on Wheels Tour'. Our own students performed beautifully and we are so proud of the progress they have made this year with the tin whistle!
