The Green School Committee encouraged the pupils to enter the Green Schools Irish Water Poster and Video competition. The theme was "Local Water Actions for Global Change". Below you will see some of the creative entries from the pupils. Well done everyone and the best of luck in the competition.

World Water Day Walk for Water

Our Green School Committee organised a Walk for Water to celebrate World Water Day. We did this to raise awareness about women and children in countries around the world, who walk on average 6km a day to access water, and have to carry heavy loads of up to 20 Litres on their way back. Often the water they find is dirty and not fit for human consumption. Our Walk for Water made us realise how lucky we are to have safe drinking water and sanitation. We also got to observe the signs of Spring in the beautiful countryside surrounding our school.
