We introduced our Active Homework Journals this week. While Active Homework is nothing new, our new Active Homework Journals are a great way for us to record our active homework activities. This resource has been developed to bring the children's Physical Education experience home. The PE Homework- Active Everyday activities are designed to complement the activities that the children are learning in school. Each night the children will have an activity sheet added to their Active Homework Journal. These activities are based on the 5 strands of the PE curriculum- Games, Athletics, Gymnastics, Dance and Outdoor and Adventure. A new activity sheet will be added to the Active Homework Journal each day. The Junior Room will complete Level 1 activities, the Middle Room will complete Level 2 activities and the Senior Room will complete Level 3 activities. If there is more than one child in the household, they can help each other with their PE homework! The activities can be completed inside or outside given the wonderful weather. All activities can be completed individually by the child, or they can be adapted to include family members, neighbours or friends. Don’t forget to warm-up using one or two of the Warm-Up Activities bank at the back of the journal. 😊 We are looking forward to seeing all your lovely pictures!
