We are a small three teacher rural school, five minutes from Ballyconnell Co. Cavan, close to the Slieve Russell hotel. We pride ourselves on our welcoming and caring school atmosphere and the fun and active learning opportunities we provide for our pupils.

Harvest time
At the start of September there was a lot of produce in our school garden that had successfully grown throughout the summer months. There was wonderful excitement among the children when they got the opportunity to harvest the vegetables that had grown. There were enough carrots, turnips, potatoes and onions to make delicious soup for everyone in the school!

Roald Dahl Day

The children in Second, Third and Fourth class celebrated Roald Dahl Day on 13th September 2016. This day marked 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl- the world’s number one story teller.
The children really enjoyed learning all about this amazing author. He wrote some amazing books!
As part of our project on Roald Dahl the children have been reading the BFG as their class novel. In art we even made some dazzling dream catchers!!
