During Maths week the children went outdoors to learn about shape and pattern. 

What a fun afternoon we had creating our presidential scarecrows :-) Thanks to all the parents who helped out on the day. The candidates will be meeting and greeting at the school on polling day and of course looking for your No. 1 vote ...be sure to take a selfie!!!!

Its getting spooky in Greaghrahan!!!

On Saturday 13th October I went to Dublin for a Tang Soo Do fight. Tang Soo Do is a Martial Art. I won one silver medal for my form and I came fourth place for fighting. My instructors names are Adrianna and Redford. 

In Aistear we were caring for babies in the baby clinic. The children took on the roles of doctors and nurses, weighing and measuring the babies. At the water table we took turns bathing the babies, drying them, sorting the baby clothes and dressing the babies. We looked at the different toys we played with as babies, toddlers and compared them to the toys we play with now that we are big boys and girls! The highlight was a visit from Sarah's baby sister Chloe, who came in to see us. Chloe was all smiles throughout the visit and we learned lots from her mother Donna on what Chloe can do at six months and about the care she needs.

There was great excitement in Greaghrahan N.S. today when the victorious men's and ladies teams paid a visit to the school.  Captain Kian Monahan, addressed the pupils and introduced the newly crowned Junior Championship team. To celebrate both teams momentous win, Kian gave the children a night off homework!! A very popular decision all round! Well done to both teams and thanks for visiting our school.
