We are delighted to welcome you to Greaghrahan National school's website.
We are a small three teacher rural school, five minutes from Ballyconnell Co. Cavan, close to the Slieve Russell hotel. We pride ourselves on our welcoming and caring school atmosphere and the fun and active learning opportunities we provide for our pupils.

We enjoyed getting outdoors to explore our surroundings and to search for all kinds of minibeasts. We couldn't believe how many of these little creatures live in our schoolyard!

Aistear - The Garden Centre

Junior and Senior Infants have been busy in the Garden Centre over the past few weeks. The good weather has brought a lot of business and they are very busy taking orders for plants and seeds. They grew grassheads and went outside to tidy up the school garden.

The school garden was looking a bit neglected after the long school closure so we have been getting to work digging and weeding. We were delighted to see that the tulips we planted last year were in full bloom adding a lovely splash of colour.

Easter Egg Hunt

With the strict travel restrictions in place the Easter Bunny was given an eggs-emption and managed to deliver eggs to the children in Greaghrahan NS. Check out the pictures below to see the children enjoying the annual Easter Egg hunt.
